The alphorn is something for experts. It has no slide, flaps or valves. It takes a lot of practice to produce melodies from the natural horn that is up to 3.9 metres in length. The alphorn players on Schynige Platte manage this perfectly. Visitors can enjoy a free concert every day. Afterwards, they can pose with the instrument in front of the mountain pastures, as if they were professionals themselves. In front of the hotel (in bad weather inside the hotel) 11 am to 2 pm daily
